Back in Pretoria after a 15 hour drive from Cape Town and really feeling like a bag of mixed feelings.
Last year I did my first Cape Argus Cycle Race and achieved a finish time of 3:17:30. Not bad for a first attempt.
Following a sub-3 result in November’s 94.7 race, I really hoped that a sub-3 was achievable in this year’s Argus, but it wasn’t to be.
My 03:05:48 result, though nearly 12 minutes better than last year, fell well short of the all-evasive sub-3 I was hoping for.
Oh well, next year will be the year, I guess!
